I am well aware that the 2012 NBA Draft just wrapped up. Still, we are looking ahead to the 2013 NBA Draft with insanely early projections on how it may unfold. Team needs and outstanding trades have NOT been taken into consideration with this 2013 NBA mock draft. Click on the players’ name for a complete, in-depth scouting report.

1. Charlotte- Nerlens Noel, PF/C, Kentucky, 6-10, Fr.
An extremely athletic, lengthy big man who protects the rim like Anthony Davis, Nerlens Noel reclassified to the 2012 class which will make him draft eligible in 2013.
2. Washington- Shabazz Muhammed, G/F, UCLA, 6-6, Fr.
Considered by most as the top recruit in the 2012 class, Shabazz Muhammed has a complete, all-around game for a wing player.
3. Cleveland- Cody Zeller, C, Indiana, 6-11, So.
The Hoosier is so talented for a young big man and has such a terrific feel for the game, but needs to get stronger before making the leap to the league.
4. New Orleans- James McAdoo, F, North Carolina, 6-9, So.
He comes off the bench at UNC but would likely blossom next season in a premiere role.
5. Sacramento- Kyle Anderson, SF, UCLA, 6-9, Fr.
Kyle Anderson is a smooth, all-around talent who can play a point forward type roll.
6. New Jersey- Isaiah Austin, C, Baylor, 7-0, Fr.
The future Bear is a rim protector with great length and athleticism but a lack of physicality is a concern.
7. Golden State- Steven Adams, C, Pitt, 7-0, Fr.
The New Zealand native has the ideal size to be a true NBA big man and the developing skill set to match.
8. Toronto- Otto Porter, SF, Georgetown, 6-8, So.
After an impactful freshman season in which he continued to develop his all-around game, Otto Porter is somebody to watch next season as he should be the Hoyas go-to option.
9. Detroit- Alex Poythress, SF, Kentucky, 6-8, Fr.
A combo forward with good strength and athleticism, Alex Poythress will get a chance to shine next season at UK.
10. Minnesota- Tony Mitchell, SF, North Texas, 6-8, So.
An athletic, explosive forward, Mitchell should benefit from another year of maturing and improving his perimeter game to help ensure he is a first round pick in 2013.
11. Portland- Dario Saric, SF, Croatia, 6-10, 1994
The prototypical, versatile European prospect, Dario Saric has great fundamentals for his size but must get stronger.
12. Milwaukee- C.J. Leslie, F, N.C. State, 6-9, Jr.
A ridiculous athlete who excels above the rim, C.J. Leslie came on strong at the end of his sophomore season but still needs to develop his perimeter game and get stronger.
13. Phoenix- Adonis Thomas, G/F, Memphis, 6-6, So.
An injury held Adonis Thomas back during his freshman season but he is a tough match-up due to his strength, athleticism, and ability to shoot the ball, and should see a larger role next year for Josh Pastner.
14. Houston- Myck Kabongo, PG, Texas, 6-1, So.
A pure distributor, the Canada-native had a somewhat disappointing freshman season but is still loaded with talent and ability.
15. Philadelphia- LeBryan Nash, SF, Oklahoma State, 6-7, So.
LeBryan Nash has NBA-ready size and athleticism but needs to work on his outside shot.
16. Utah- Rudy Gobert, PF/C, France, 6-10, 1992
The former UCLA transfer is an inside/outside threat and extremely aggressive on the glass.
17. New York- Lorenzo Brown, G, N.C. State, 6-5, Jr.
A play-making point guard with good size and athleticism, Lorenzo Brown can impact the game in a variety of ways.
18. Dallas- Ryan Harrow, PG, Kentucky, 6-2, So.
The N.C. State transfer will greatly benefit from playing the point under John Calipari.
19. Orlando- Mike Moser, SF, UNLV, 6-8, Jr.
Built like a beast, Patric Young has an incredible motor but has a very limited offensive game that needs to develop before he turns pro.
20. Denver-Isaiah Canaan, PG, Murray State, 6-0, Sr.
With the Racers’ incredible season, Isaiah Canaan bursted onto the national scene which really helped his draft stock.
21. Boston- Reggie Bullock, SG, North Carolina, 6-6, Jr.
The Tar Heel sophomore made the most of his opportunity in becoming a starter after Dexter Strickland was injured. He has great size and can shoot the ball from deep.
22. L.A. Clippers- LaDontae Henton, SF, Providence, 6-6, So.
The lefty is an inside/outside threat who knows how to attack the glass. He is one of my early, early sleepers for the 2013 Draft.
23. Atlanta- B.J. Young, PG, Arkansas, 6-3, So.
B.J. Young has declared for the 2012 draft but would be wise to return to school to help his status as a first round pick.
24. L.A. Lakers- Patric Young, F/C, Florida, 6-9, Jr.
Built like a beast, Patric Young has an incredible motor but has a very limited offensive game that needs to develop before he turns pro.
25. Memphis- Trey Burke, PG, Michigan, 5-11, So.
A mature young floor general, Trey Burke is quick with the basketball when attacking the hoop but can also knock down shots from the perimeter. His size is a concern.
26. Indiana- Jamaal Franklin, SG, San Diego State, 6-5, Jr.
Jamaal Franklin came from practically out of nowhere to become one of the best pure scorers out West this past season.
27. Miami- DeShaun Thomas, SF, Ohio State, 6-7, Jr.
A gifted all-around scorer, DeShaun Thomas needs to improve as a defender to ensure being a first round pick.
28. Oklahoma City- Mason Plumlee, PF, Duke, 6-10, Sr.
Athletically gifted, the middle Plumlee makes his biggest impact on the glass, but has a fairly limited offensive game.
29. Chicago- Deonte Burton, PG, Nevada, 6-1, Jr.
Deonte Burton can be a distributing play-maker but also knows how to score the rock.
30. San Antonio- Tim Hardaway Jr., SG, Michigan, 6-5, Jr.
The Wolverine sophomore can score the basketball in a variety of ways.
